How to mount a portable CarPlay screen
Portable CarPlay screens make any car feel newer — if the mount keeps them steady and out of the sightline.
Ball or bracket
Look at the back of the screen: a 17 mm ball socket fits 1Zero CD-slot and long-arm mounts; a 4-hook bracket fits the suction replacement mount.
Where to put it
- Low and right of the wheel, below the sightline.
- Not over the car's own display or air vents.
- Within a short reach for taps at a stop.
Keep it steady
Use the shortest arm that reaches. Clean the dash or glass with alcohol before adhesive or suction, and give adhesive bases 24 hours to cure.
